This is one of those fast-paced detective stories where the detective- this time a woman is tough and has a past. DI Tina Boyd has just nailed a nasty serial killer but there is someone else who wants him more than the police do and the killer is abducted while in custody. Boyd has to use all her skills to solve the crime and keep the killer alive.
Fans of Lynda la Plante will like Simon Kernick's style of writing and his cast of characters.
